We believe that there is much more to music lessons than just learning to play an instrument – at Sessions we organize and teach our students to play and perform in bands or solo. We teach our students to write, compose and record music. We also have a strong emphasis in teaching and using the latest in music technology.

We believe that playing and performing modern music is the fun part! So we have structured our company and music programs around playing, performing and having fun with modern music as our primary objective. Learning to play is a vital component as is practicing, but playing and performing is the fun part. Most music lessons are too focused on learning and practicing and not focused enough on playing and performing. Sessions is focused first on playing and performing by incorporating learning and practice as necessary activities in order to play and perform.

Modern Music Lessons in Houston
Our focus is modern music – Rock, Country and Pop music, beginning with music written and recorded in the 50's and 60's through today. Learning to play and perform the music that we all listen to every day is what Sessions is focused on. From the Beatles to Journey to Lady Gaga to George Straight – that's what we teach and perform. Houston Guitar Lessons
Sessions Music offers guitar lessons – both rhythm and bass – to students of all skill levels and all ages beginning around age 6. Individual guitar lessons take place in private lesson rooms at the Sessions’ Music Studio. Each Music Lesson room is equipped with all of the instruments and subsequent equipment needed during each lesson, along with a Mac Mini and large-screen TV where instructors display each lessons’ curriculum. Some of our favorite Guitarists include: Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Pete Townshend, and BB King. Guitar students are welcome to bring their own instruments or may utilize Sessions' instruments during lessons, although Sessions does not provide students with a Guitar to practice on outside of the Sessions’ Music Studio. Sessions Music Guitar Lessons are held in a new, clean, sound-proof, state-of-the-art facility in which students feel comfortable and have fun learning their instrument of choice. Sessions performance programs also offer students the chance to meet like-minded musicians who are also learning to play the Guitar. Houston Piano Lessons
Sessions’ Piano Lessons are available to students of all skill levels from age 6 and up. Individual Piano Lessons take place at the Sessions’ Music Studio with Professional Piano Instructors. Our Private Lesson rooms are equipped with all of the instruments and tools students need to successfully learn and enjoy playing the piano. Music Lesson Curriculum is displayed on a large-screen TV during each interactive session. Our favorite Piano players include: Sir Elton John, Billy Joel, Norah Jones, Ray Charles, Diana Krall, and Harry Connick, Junior. Piano students utilize Sessions' instruments during lessons, and will need a Piano or Keyboard to practice on between Music Lessons outside of the Sessions’ Music Studio. Students may also learn to play the Piano during Sessions’ Performance Programs, which offer students the chance to meet like-minded musicians, be grouped into a band, and perform live in front of family and friends at the end of the Program. Houston Drum Lessons
Sessions Music offers drum lessons to students of all skill levels and all ages beginning around age 6. Individual drum lessons take place in our private lesson rooms that are equipped with all of the instruments and subsequent equipment needed during each lesson as well as a mac mini and a large-screen TV on which the curriculum appears. Students will utilize Sessions' instruments during lessons, although a drum set and/or practice pad will be needed away from Sessions in order to practice between sessions. Sessions offers a new, clean, sound-proof, state-of-the-art facility in which students can feel comfortable learning their instrument of choice; Sessions performance programs also offer students the chance to meet like-minded musicians and be grouped into a band with Sessions setting up performance opportunities for those bands. Houston Voice Lessons
Sessions Music offers vocal lessons to students of any skill level and all ages beginning at the age of 6. Individual voice lessons are conducted in our private lesson rooms. Each room is fully equipped with all of the instruments and equipment needed during each lesson, this includes a mac mini and a large-screen TV on which the curriculum appears. Students will utilize Sessions' instruments during each lesson, although a piano/keyboard will be needed during practice sessions away from Sessions Music, in order to practice at home in between each lesson. Sessions offers a new, clean, sound-proof, state-of-the-art facility in which students can feel comfortable and enthusiastic about learning how to become a better singer and performer. Sessions performance programs also offer students the chance to meet like-minded musicians and vocalists. Students are grouped into a band with Sessions, and are set up with live performance opportunities. A few well-known vocalists include Michael Jackson, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Steven Tyler, Taylor Swift, and Adele.
